Individual Assessments and Interventions

At NeuroNest, we believe in the power of early intervention and the incredible potential within every child. With the right tools and strategies, every milestone becomes achievable.
Individual Assessments and Interventions
-
Developmental Assessment and Intervention Plan
NeuroNest offers a comprehensive developmental assessment aimed at understanding your child’s current developmental stage. The assessment process involves observing cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. Based on the findings, a personalized intervention plan is created to provide support tailored to your child’s specific needs, whether at home, in school, or during therapy sessions.

Standardised Assessments
At Neuronest, we offer a comprehensive range of standardized assessments designed to monitor and foster child development, as well as facilitate the early detection of potential challenges. By evaluating motor, cognitive, socio-emotional, and communication skills, these assessments enable us to identify early indicators of developmental issues, ensuring timely intervention and support.
In situations requiring in-depth, specialized evaluations for autism spectrum disorders (e.g., ADOS), suspected ADHD, or intellectual functioning (e.g., Wechsler Intelligence Scales), we collaborate with our certified partner, AUTISM & ADHD CIRCLE, to provide these assessments at our premises and refer families for further diagnostic procedures as needed.

Integrated Intervention Session (30, 45 and 60 minutes)
At NeuroNest, every child’s journey begins with being truly seen—and continues with a carefully built support system rooted in understanding, consistency, and care. Our integrated intervention sessions, available in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute formats, are designed to meet each child as they are—offering practical, creative, and developmentally responsive ways to support their growth across all key areas of life.
The process begins with a detailed developmental assessment that helps us understand the child not just from a diagnostic or academic perspective, but holistically—as a thinker, a mover, a feeler, and a communicator. From this, we develop a personalised support plan that reflects the child’s current strengths, challenges, and interests, with clear goals across physical, intellectual, language, emotional, and social domains.
In session, children are guided through a rich combination of structured tasks and playful exploration, woven together to match their energy, mood, and readiness to engage. Some may begin their session with imaginative storytelling, others through sensory-rich tactile play, while others might respond best to movement-based tasks that help them reset and focus. No two sessions are alike, because no two children are.
A distinctive part of our approach includes the use of specially designed obstacle course activities, which are both functional and fun. These courses are more than just movement—they help children develop body awareness, core strength, coordination, balance, and sequencing. While crawling under a soft tunnel, jumping between stepping stones, or balancing across a line may look like play, each movement is carefully planned to activate the brain-body connection, regulate the nervous system, and build the foundations for concentration, confidence, and emotional stability.
We also include activities that strengthen fine motor skills—through tasks like drawing, cutting, threading, or using hand tools—as well as those that support independence in daily routines, like organising belongings, following multi-step tasks, or managing transitions. Emotional development is nurtured through symbolic and creative expression, games that model social situations, and conversations supported by visuals, gestures, and rhythm to support understanding.
Some children benefit from the use of specific tools that enhance listening, speech production, or focus. When appropriate, we gently introduce supports like a voice-feedback headset that allows a child to hear their own voice more clearly, or neurofeedback technology that helps them recognise and train their own attention. Multisensory programmes involving sound, light, or rhythm are carefully selected and introduced only when they suit the child’s profile and comfort.
All of this takes place in environments specifically designed to support growth—a calming sensory room, a symbolic play space, and open areas for gross motor activities. Within these spaces, children are invited to explore, connect, and succeed at their own pace. The emotional tone of the session is just as important as its content; we work from a place of respect, predictability, and positive connection. We see behaviour as communication, and progress as a process—one that often happens in small, powerful steps.
At the heart of every session is our relationship with the family. We believe children flourish when the people around them share in their support. That’s why we maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, translating strategies from sessions into daily routines at home and in school. We help families understand the ‘why’ behind each activity and offer simple, meaningful ways to extend that work into everyday life.
Because when a child feels safe, challenged in just the right way, and consistently supported by the adults around them—whether they are jumping through an obstacle course, learning to hold a pencil, or managing big emotions—they begin to discover what they’re capable of. And that’s when real, lasting growth begins.

Individual Sessions with Potentially Gifted and Gifted Children (30, 45 and 60 minutes)
Giftedness comes in many forms—and at NeuroNest, we recognise that high ability often walks hand-in-hand with deep sensitivity, curiosity, and a unique way of seeing the world. Some children ask profound questions, notice invisible patterns, or immerse themselves fully in a subject they love. Others may express their intensity through creativity, movement, or quiet observation. What unites them is the need for space where they can be truly seen, understood, and supported as whole individuals—not just as thinkers, but also as feelers, dreamers, and learners.
Our individual sessions for gifted and potentially gifted children are designed to nurture not just intellectual growth, but also emotional resilience, creative thinking, and social connection. Offered in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute formats, these sessions are personalised to each child’s profile—starting from what excites them, what challenges them, and what helps them feel safe and empowered. This insight forms the foundation for a tailored plan that carefully balances stimulation with support.
For many of these children, traditional learning environments can feel too narrow, repetitive, or externally driven. That’s why our sessions are open-ended, flexible, and creative. A child might dive into a hands-on science experiment, explore a complex math pattern, build a model of their own invention, or craft a story that expresses an inner world. They might question history, simulate a business, map ecosystems, or act out philosophical dilemmas through role-play. Learning here is dynamic, child-led, and filled with meaning.
But we also know that with depth often comes vulnerability. Many children with high potential experience emotional intensity, perfectionism, difficulty with transitions, or challenges in understanding social nuance. Our sessions support this inner world too—helping children develop emotional awareness, stress regulation, and confidence in relationships. Through symbolic expression, reflective dialogue, sensory and movement-based tasks, or guided peer interaction, we help them name what they feel and explore who they are without fear of “too much” or “too different.”
Social learning is also woven throughout—especially for children who struggle with peer connections, teamwork, or communication styles that set them apart. We guide them gently through perspective-taking, friendship building, constructive disagreement, and emotional reciprocity—all in ways that honour their uniqueness.
Each session is held in an environment that supports both freedom and containment: spaces for imaginative exploration, sensory regulation, quiet focus, and obstacle-based movement for grounding and body awareness. Whether they’re building, writing, debating, or climbing, children are learning to trust themselves and stretch beyond their comfort zone.
Parents are an integral part of this journey. We work together to set shared goals, offer reflections, and provide practical guidance on how to support gifted children at home—emotionally, intellectually, and socially. For families seeking deeper understanding, we collaborate with AUTISM & ADHD CIRCLE, helping to clarify needs and tailor the right level of challenge and support, particularly in profiles where high ability coexists with other neurodivergent traits.
Our aim is simple: to create a space where gifted and twice-exceptional children feel challenged, inspired, and safe. A space where they can ask big questions, take creative risks, process complex feelings, and develop the tools they need to grow into confident, balanced individuals—on their own terms, in their own time, and without needing to hide who they are.
